Use any instant cake mix and bake a simple sheet cake. Next, cut out the simplified animal shapes individually and arrange on a larger dish. Then comes the fun part, decorating your cake! Children can use gum drop candies for eyes and noses, licorice for whiskers, and sprinkles and colored icing to resemble the animal’s fur.

2. Mucky Mud Pies with Juicy Worms
This is a classic recipe with a few fun additions that your kids will love. This cake features a crumbly chocolate crust layered with more rich chocolate sauce, nuts, ice cream, and gummy worms for that authentic muddy feel. Start with the chocolate crust at the bottom of your dish. Then instead of neatly layering in the other ingredients let kids dump them in however they choose. Chocolate sauce mixed in with nuts and ice cream and topped with colorful gummy worms is sure to please every time.

3. Scrumptious Butterscotch Haystacks
Butterscotch Haystacks are so fun and easy to make, and only require a few ingredients. You’ll need butterscotch morsels, creamy peanut butter, miniature marshmallows, and chow mein noodles. Simply melt down the butterscotch in a microwave and stir in the peanut butter until blended completely. Add in the marshmallows and chow mein noodles, stirring gently as to not break the noodles. On a wax or freezer paper lined sheet pan, arrange the mixture into little haystacks and refrigerate, then serve.

4. Lollie Brownie Cakes
This cake is made just like brownies, except on a larger scale. Just bake up some brownies, throwing in any nuts you wish. Let kids select the miniature chocolate bars and simply melt them down in a microwave. Drizzle over your brownie cake, and top with bits of remaining miniature chocolate bars. This recipe also works on a smaller scale, which is great for parties as each child can create their own custom cake using mini chocolate bars of their choice
