3 Simple Tips To Help You Lose Weight

By Tom Rondle

Many people make losing fat out to be harder than it actually is. When desperate to lose fat, people often have a tendency to take more risks, which is something that should be avoided. The fact of the matter is, with a few basic principles, anyone can make some serious fat loss progress without any real effort at all.

Most people are often looking for some kind of "secret tips" that will help them to burn some fat real quick, and fortunately there are some things that are actually surprisingly very effective. In fact, these tips have been proven to make an easy difference of ten pounds in the first two weeks when starting a new weight loss and exercise program.

Below I will reveal 3 simple tips that have been successful in helping thousands of people around the world who thought it was hard to lose weight to actually shed the pounds pretty easily and quickly.

Here they are...

1 Avoid "white" foods.

This consists of pastas, white breads, most cereal products and your favorite crackers. Other white foods that you should avoid are flour, potatoes and potato products, rice, cheese products and processed milk. The white foods that are always good to eat and are good for you are fish, chicken and cauliflowers.

2 Soda Pop and other drinks that have sugar, calories, or artificial sweeteners you should also avoid. Too much coffee is also something you should not drink. Creamer is something you should leave alone also, right? Yes, it's white. And drinking plenty of water is something most people neglect to do. You should make it a point to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water. In other words, if you weigh 200 pounds, you should drink 100 ounces of water every day. This will be most important in helping your body to "kick in" the fat loss process.

3 OK, now that you've been taken off the "white" products you also need to avoid all wheat products too. This includes "whole wheat." It all has to go. Read the ingredients on the label of everything you preparing to eat, and if it has the word "wheat" anywhere on the label, don't eat it.

By following these three simple tips, and adhering to them strictly, you will be surprised at your progress in just the first couple of weeks. It might take some adjusting on your part depending on what you are used to eating everyday, but once it becomes habit your entire life will change for the better.

The above tips were taken from the Fat Loss Factor training guide. To learn more about this weight loss program, please read the Fat Loss Factor Review.

Author: Nitin Chhoda

For women, shaping the muscles of the thighs is an important fitness goal. A shapely lower body is considered very feminine, and the right proportion of the waist to the hips is part of the equation. It's surprising, but true, thigh toning exercises can be done at home, without equipment and results can be seen in 4-6 weeks. Also, did you know that thigh and hip toning gadgets are not required if you know which exercises work, and how to do them. Most importantly, thigh exercises are most effective when combined with aerobic exercise and a healthy diet.

This means that women must not only do the right thigh exercises, but also include aerobic exercise and sound nutrition to get best results. The following exercises are the most effective front thigh exercises for women. The routine also includes inner thigh and rear thigh exercises.
For best results, start with 15-20 repetitions and one set. Increase gradually to 2 sets. Complete the routine at least 2 times a week for best results. This is an effective beginner to intermediate toning program. Please remember that these numbers are general guidelines only. For an optimum program tailored to your needs, please consult a certified personal trainer. If you have any injuries or medical ailments, please obtain a physicians clearance before starting any exercise program.

Wall Squat: Front Thigh Exercise

Starting Position: – Place your upper back against a smooth wall. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart, toes pointed slightly outward. Distribute your body weight equally between both feet and lean back against the wall. Movement: – Inhale, keeping your heels in contact with the floor at all times, slowly lower into a squat position while sliding down the wall. Exhale as you slowly straighten your legs, keeping your head and chest up, returning to the starting position. Repeat as required.

Standing Dumbbell Squats: Front Thigh Exercise

Starting Position:- Hold a dumbbell in each hand and allow them to hang down at your sides. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart, toes pointed slightly outward. Distribute your body weight equally between both feet. Movement:- Inhale, keeping your heels in contact with the floor at all times, slowly lower into a squat position. Exhale as you slowly straighten your legs, keeping your head and chest up, returning to the starting position. Repeat as required. 5 lb dumbbells work well, but you can start with 2 lbs and then work your way up to 5 lbs within 3-5 weeks.

Lunges: Front Thigh Exercise

Starting Position: – Assume a standing position with your feet slightly less than shoulder width apart. Grasp a barbell with a wider than shoulder width grip and place it across your shoulders. Movement: – Inhale, keeping your back vertical and slightly arched, slowly step forward with one leg making a long stride, lowering your body down slowly until your rear knee lightly touches the floor (if you cannot go as low as this, then work your way up to it over 2-3 weeks). Exhale and shift your weight backwards, taking one step (or 2-3 small steps if that sounds difficult) to return to the starting position. Repeat on the other side. Remember to consult your doctor before this or any other knee exercises if you have had any knee trouble!

Lying Face Down: Front Thigh Stretch

Starting Position: Lie on your stomach on a matt with your legs together. Movement: Reach behind you and grasp your right ankle with your left hand. Pull your right heel up as far as you can. Hold this position for thirty seconds. Repeat as required on other side. Please remember to hold for 10 seconds for this stretch.

Seated Split Stretch: Inner Thigh Stretch

Starting Position: Sit on an exercise matt and spread your legs as far as you can. Movement: Lean to your right side and reach for your toes. Rest your hands on your toes or at your ankle. Hold this position for thirty seconds. Repeat as required on other side.

Seated Butterfly: Inner Thigh Exercise

Starting Position: Sit on an exercise matt with your back straight. Movement: Bring the soles of your feet together and pull them in as close to your body as you can. Allow your hands to rest on your feet or to apply light pressure to your thighs. Hold this position for thirty seconds. Hold this position for 10 seconds. You will find this most effective if you gently push your knees down using your hands, be careful not to push too much.

Seated Hip Twist: Outer Thigh And Rear Thigh Exercise

Starting Position: Sit on an exercise matt with your legs straight out in front of you. Movement: Bend your right knee and place your right foot over your left leg. Wrap your arms around your right knee and gently pull it in towards your left shoulder. Hold this position for thirty seconds. Repeat as required on other side. Remember to hold for 10 seconds.

Lying Leg Pull: Total Thigh Exercise

Starting Position: Lie on your back on an exercise matt with your knees in the air and feet flat on the floor. Movement: Bring your right heel to rest on your left thigh. Loop your hands around your left thigh and pull it towards your chest. Hold this position for thirty seconds. Repeat as required on other side. Remember to hold for 10 seconds in each set.

How to Deal with The Female Hair Loss?

How to Deal with The Female Hair Loss?

Author: Shivani Kashyap

For many years the pathological loss of hair (alopecia) was a "male subject". Today, however, alopecia recognized as medical and aesthetic problem in the woman too. If the condition is severe, it can cause significant psychological and social consequences. This loss can also be observed transiently after pregnancy. Sometimes there is a temporary loss where a substance or a disorder causes a temporary problem. The second, which is less common, may be due to burns, bursitis and in autoimmune diseases such as discoid lupus erythematous, follicular lichen between others.

It is common for women to exhibit thinning hair as they grow older. To have a woman at the age of 80 the same volume of strands he had at 18 is extremely unusual. Baldness in women is however much less pronounced, compared to men, while also differs significantly allocation of loss in the initial stages. Usually diffuse thinning occurs on top of the head, but by maintaining the edge of the hair on the forehead, which has normal density.

When to Do a Dermatological Examination?

When a woman displays a large amount of hair loss every day or she does not feeling well due to the hair loss, she should visit her dermatologist. The doctor will make a diagnosis of alopecia after excluding other causes of pathological loss.

Moreover, tests are not normally required. It is advisable to search for treatable causes for loss (e.g. anemia, hypothyroidism), especially in women with abrupt onset and rapid progression of loss. If baldness is severe or accompanied by other symptoms, it may need several more tests. Many proposals have been made for the value of the analysis of hair samples, the method but rather lack credibility. But Rapid hair fiber is not one of them, because it gives you an instant baldness cure!

The sudden transient loss of strands due to commonly known as alopecia areata. This starts abruptly, with the appearance of one or more circular patch on the scalp, with a diameter of up to 8 centimeters, which may overlap.

General Preventive

Some of the interventions are strong or are made very often. The result is causing more damage to the strands, despite their care. The wet strands are particularly fragile because it can be stretched. A bristle brush is a preferable than a synthetic one because the synthetic material can break the strands.

The mane on the scalp must be brushed gently from the scalp down to spread these oil secreted by the skin. If you can use a preferred comb, then it must have wide teeth to not injure the strands.

You should also avoid tight braiding, the ponytails and tight twist rollers. Combing backwards should be very soft or no tough. Excessive exposure to sunlight, air or chemicals in a pool can cause dryness of the strands and create knots. Daily bathing, if done gently, it will not damage your hair. Three Tips You Must Do To Treat A Trapped Nerve Episode

Three Tips You Must Do To Treat A Trapped Nerve Episode

Author: Robert McGreggor

If you are reading this article then I know you are having bad day since you're probably sitting there in some sort of pain from a nerve feeling trapped. Today I want to share with you five helpful do it yourself tips to try cure yourself of the dreaded pain in your neck or low back.

Just a little backgorund information first if you didn't know what actually causes a trapped nerve. Our nervous system is protected by our skull and vertebrae in out spine. The bones tend to do a great job in keeping away pressure on the delcate nerve fibres coursing through the spinal cord. However there are times when trauma can damage the nerve like a car accident causing a whiplash injury to the neck or a sport injury like a bad football or rugby tackle. Then there is the common cause of degeneration over time. This is normal as we grow old and our joints change and become arthritic at points. You though might have another form that called degenerative disc disease (DDD). This intevertebral disc condition can lead to a disc bulge or herniated disc in your cervical or lumbar spine. In this case this causes lots of pressure on the nerve root leading to radicular pain symptoms like pins and needles down the arm/leg, muscle weakness/wasting and loss of sensation to things like hot or cold. You may have heard a friend or relative mention their sciatica is acting up. Sciatica is a medical term used to describe that radiculopathy pain down the back of the leg to the ankle I mentioned earlier.

Right so now you now the two common causes for entrapement of your nerve root what are my 5 favourtie tips for how to treat a trapped nerve.

1. Change Your Posture

I know this sounds too simple to be true but just stop and realise are you slouching? Is that a good seated posture your in right now? Most likely not. Posture puts extra pressure on the spinal joints and discs. By actively adopting better posture stratergies you coudl be giving your body time to heal.

2. McKenzie Neck Extension Exercises

Robin McKenzie was a physiotherapist (physical therapist) based out of New Zealand. He discovered by pure chance one day that keeping you lower back in an extension position helped pull the lumbar disc back in and release the pressure on the sciatic nerve. He tested this theroy in the neck and got the same positive results. This means you might just need a course of McKenzie neck extension or lower back extension exercises to give your herniated or bulging disc a chance to heal.

3. PsychoNeuroImmunology

This is a word you may not have seen before but trust me your doctor should know about this recent concept in medical science. It can be shortened to PNI or sometimes called psychoneuroendocrinology (PNE). What scientists have been able to proof now is that your state of mind will dictate your sate of healing and recovery. If you are depressed and not filling your brain with happy chemicals you might get sick more easily and take longer to recover from injury like a pinched nerve episode. Try mindfulness meditation or heart rate variability coherence training to change your mind and get some healing chemicals flowing through the injury site again.

I hope these three self-treatment tips help kickstart you body on the road ro recovery again.

How to Cure White Spots on Skin

Author: Aisha Ahmed

The medical term for white spots on skin is vitiligo or leucoderma. It's a skin disease in which the skin loses its color due to some genetic or environmental causes. The white spots appear as patches of white skin without pigment.
White spots on skin are common in people who suffer from autoimmune diseases. One of these diseases is adrenocortical insufficiency. The adrenal gland is responsible for producing a hormone called corticosteroid. This disease occurs when there is a deficiency of this hormone in our body. Because of this reason the most common treatment as suggested by doctors for vitiligo is corticosteroid cream.
Another treatment for the cure of white spots on skin is exposure to sunlight for long durations of time or artificial phototherapy. Cells that are responsible for pigmentation become active when the skin if exposed to light.
Melanocytes are cells located in the skin that cause pigmentation. A recent advancement in the medical science has made it possible to transplant these cells from some other part of the body to the affected skin area. As a result of this transplantation vitiligo or white spots on skin can be completely cured.
Cosmetics can also be used to cover up the white spots. However, a medical treatment should be employed to control the disease as it may become widespread and uncontrollable. It should also be known that since this disease is inherited, it cannot be prevented. Because of this reason, a good and effective treatment is required in order to avoid psychological effects, frustration and embarrassment.
There are some other skin conditions or disorders in which the skin loses its color and becomes either of lighter or darker shade. Before using any of the treatments for vitiligo it is better to consult a dermatologist and confirm the symptoms.
Most of the time only topical treatments are suggested by doctors for skin disorders including vitiligo, acne and eczema. However, some oral pills may also be prescribed if the condition is severe.

A New Health Care Insurance Policy

A New Health Care Insurance Policy

By Neguletu Octavian

Some health care insurance companies, are nowadays grateful for their employee's idea of dropping the client's policies and cancel the payment for their health care medical expenses, admit recent investigations in health care insurance domain. Since this new policy, many other investigations started targeting all other health insurance companies.

Moreover, another important change in health insurance policy is that, as many Americans accept the idea that, smokers should pay a larger sum of money for their health care insurance. Why? Simple: it is already known the fact that a smoker is more prone to danger than a person who has never smoked in his/her life. And the danger refers to health care medical issues, of course. This is also a way of determining as many people as possible to quit smocking.

Health care insurance programs and medical health care issues have been concerning USA presidential candidates since always. Even Barack Obama the actual president of USA, has in plan to face the health care medical system, and improve it, by taking out all problems that are harming it. His perfect health care program would be the one covering all medical care expenses by the health insurance company. The estimated number of uninsured in USA, points out to 45 million, people who need to face the actual medical care insurance system. A first idea would be that, by raising health care insurance taxes for smokers, then the uninsured would have to pay less, since the smoker's number is bigger than medical uninsured.

The need for a reformation of health care system is obvious and it is one of the president's main objectives, because after the economy, medical health care system, and insurance health care policy come second.Barack Obama is fighting to convince employers to determine Americans to share his new health care policy plan. His plan will require larger companies providing insurance to entire nation, and in return they will receive small tax credits for the medical care expenses.
Unfortunately many workers are still depending on their employers regarding health benefits, and the entire system is facing difficulties already. The numbers are concerning: 62.9% of Americans under the age 65 had "employer-based" coverage during 2007, falling from 68.3% during 2000. This indicates that instead of an improved situation in health care system, the evolution was tragical, meaning that thing have been getting worse and worse for the past 7 years.

Experts and qualified persons, do not sympathise much the idea of eliminating the fee advantage for "employer-based" coverage which would only oblige younger workers to abandon their office plans. In this case, medical costs for the remaining employers would surely skyrocket. So it seems that MCCain's idea could do more damage than good to the entire health care system.
On the other hand Barack Obama's approach is extremely different. As said previously, the president wants to establish larger companies to provide "meaningful coverage" for their clients. In case they do not provide health care insurance, they would have no other option but to subsidize the entire cost of a national plan.

7 Tips to Choosing a Good Home Water Cooler Supplier

7 Tips to Choosing a Good Home Water Cooler Supplier

By Nick Swan

If you're reading this, it seems likely that you've been searching for a home water coolers supplier. You will probably have noticed that there are lots of suppliers out there and it can often seem like there's very little to distinguish them from each other.

This can make choosing very difficult! Thankfully there are a few criteria you can look for to help you make a decision.

1. Do they provide regular sanitation?
Water coolers that are not regularly sanitised quickly get dirty and un-hygienic, sometimes you'll even see algae growing inside the water bottles! Ask any potential supplier if they provide a regular sanitation service.

2. Do they deliver frequently?
Without a frequent delivery schedule you'll find yourself running out of water, so find out what the delivery schedule is.

3. Do they provide a range of choices?
If you don't have a mains supply you'll need a bottled water cooler, check to see if the supplier has a range of different models, if they don't you might not be able to use their particular model.

4. Do they provide a free, no-obligation, trial?
You might find that having a dispenser in your office isn't right for you, why not find out before committing to a contract.

5. Do they install the equipment for you?
Installing a water cooler can be a very tricky job! Especially installing a mains-fed unit (also called a plumbed in water cooler). Find out if they provide an installation service.

6. Where do they get their supply from?
Not all water is the same; find out who they get theirs from, what the composition is and if it meets regulatory requirements. Always better to be safe than sorry!

7. Are they a member of an industry body or organisation?
Members of organisations such as the British Water Cooler Association (BWCA) are more likely to provide a better service because they have to meet strict guidelines on sanitation, quality, professional training and environmental practices. Companies belonging to an established and credible association are also more likely to be legit.

Buying a water cooler for your home is a convenient and healthy choice but you have to do market assessment before signing a binding contract. Take some time to do your homework so you can end up with the best deal around. Then you can reward yourself and your family by enjoying cool, fresh water in your home each day.

Nick Swan has over 30 years' experience in the water supply industry and is Managing Director of Love Water Limited, a UK-wide Office and Home Water Cooler company.

Prednizone Side Effects - Should I Be Worried if I Take this Drug?

Prednizone Side Effects - Should I Be Worried if I Take this Drug?

By Nathan Wei

Prednizone- the correct spelling is "prednisone"- is a commonly used oral glucocorticoid medicine.

The adrenal glands manufacture a natural form of glucocorticoid. Glucocorticoids are responsible for many functions in the body including maintenance of blood pressure, proper use of sugar, protein, and fat metabolism, response to stress, and many other tasks.

Glucocorticoids manufactured by the body are referred to as endogenous steroids- meaning a person's own body makes these steroids.

When steroids are taken in from the outside either by mouth, intramuscularly or intravenously, they are referred to as exogenous steroids. Taking glucocorticoids orally or intravenously can reduce the ability of the person's own adrenal glands to continue to manufacture glucocorticoids.

Without the ability to increase steroid production in the face of stressors such as injury, infection, and surgery, a patient can go into shock.

The chances of the adrenal glands being suppressed increase as the dose of "outside" steroid exceeds the average daily equivalent output of the adrenal glands which is about 5.0-7.5 mg prednisone, therapy continues for more than a few weeks or months, doses are given late in the day or in split doses, or long-acting corticosteroid preparations are used.

Patients who require high doses of prednisone (more than 20 mgs a day) for extended periods of time often will develop side-effects.

Taking steroids on an alternate day (every other day) schedule lessens the chance of adrenal insufficiency but does not do away with it altogether.

Other side-effects include:

o Increased risk of bacterial or opportunistic infections such as fungi, tuberculosis, pneumocystis carinii

o Elevated blood sugar

o Fat distribution changes leading to moon face, buffalo hump

o Elevated blood lipids

o Aggravation of hypertension

o Electrolyte abnormalities such as low blood potassium

o Fluid retention leading to edema

o Easy bruisibility

o Increased body hair

o Increased sweating

o Purple stretch marks

o Impaired wound healing

o Glaucoma

o Cataracts

o Muscle wasting

o Stomach ulcers

o Pancreatitis

o Accelerated hardening of the arteries

o Osteonecrosis (bone death)

o Psychiatric disturbance

o Insomnia

o Bowel perforation

o Masking of infection

The use of prednisone for different diseases such as arthritis needs to be assessed with the potential benefits vs. the risks. These benefits and risks need to be discussed with your rheumatologist.

Dr. Wei (pronounced way) is a board-certified rheumatologist and Clinical Director of the nationally respected Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center of Maryland. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and has served as a consultant to the Arthritis Branch of the National Institutes of Health. Age Dieting - Choose The Best Diet For Your Age Range

By Yulia Berry

You probably know that it is much harder to lose weight when you are 30 than when you are 20. And if you are over 40, it is even more difficult. Every year your metabolism slows down. That is why the older you are, the more attention you should pay to healthy dieting and maintaining a healthy life style.
You are 20 - 30 years old.
It is not common to have a serious problem with weight in this age range. You can lose 3-5 pounds without trying too hard. The best way to lose extra pounds is a fruit diet. Fruits are rich in vitamin C, which will help you to stay physically active. Pectin, fruit acids and potassium burn calories and improve your metabolism and digestion.
Here is an example of an apple diet:
Breakfast: grate 1 apple; add 1 low fat yogurt and 1 table spoon of oatmeal.
Brunch: 1 apple.
Lunch: slice 2 apples and add spinach. For sauce mix 1 low fat yogurt, 1 tea spoon of olive oil, 1 tea spoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 tea spoon of water.
Snack: 1 apple and 3 walnuts.
Dinner: slice 1 apple, squeeze lemon juice on it and eat it with 5 oz of cheese.
You are 30 - 40 years old.
When you turn 30 years old, your metabolism slows down. You should lower calories in your dieting even if you are physically active. Do not try to lose weight fast. It will make you look a few years older because your skin will become loose and wrinkled. The older you become, the slower you should lose weight. Your goal at this age is to lose no more than 4-5 pounds a month. An ideal diet for you consists of vegetables because you will not have 'hunger attacks' and swaying in your weight. Also, you should add regular exercise, massage and skin care that improves skin elasticity.
Do not plan exercises on your dieting day.
Here is an example of a vegetable diet:
Breakfast: mix oatmeal and corn flakes; add low fat milk and 1 grated carrot.
Brunch: 1 cucumber.
Lunch: 2 boiled potatoes (with the skin still on them) with a lot of vegetable salad (you can use any vegetables)
Snack: 1 red sweet paprika.
Dinner: vegetable salad and 1 piece of rye bread.
You are 40 - 50 years old.
Almost every woman over 40 has weight problems. Your muscular mass decreases and fat increases because of hormonal changes. You should eat most of your food in the first half of the day and have very light and early dinners. You should get no more fat than 30% of your daily ration. Choose vegetable oils. Eat fish and sea food regularly.
In this age range your body starts retaining fluid. An ideal diet for you is a rice diet because it will help you to maintain a healthy fluid level in your body.
Here is an example of a rice diet:
Boil 8 oz of rice and divide it into 3 portions. 2 of them will be combined with additional protein components.
Breakfast: boiled rice with 1 low fat yogurt and 1 tea spoon of honey.
Lunch: boiled rice and 5 oz of fish or chicken.
Dinner: rice with steamed vegetables and 1 tea spoon of vegetable oil.
Do not add salt because it will lead to retaining fluid in your body. You can add soy because it will help with 'hunger attacks'.
For snack you can eat a fruit or 3 oz of low fat cottage cheese.
You are 50 - 60 years old.
If you are over 50, you need less energy (about 30%) than somebody who is 20 years old. Eat 4-5 small portions a day. Do not over eat because it is harmful to your health. Limit your daily ration of salt to ¼ tea spoon a day. Sometimes you can fast, but do not do it often because in this age range your body loses its strength to fight illnesses.
The most effective substances 'killing' fat are enzymes. Pineapple and papaya are very rich in enzymes and vitamin C.
Here is an example of a diet for you:
Eat during the day about 4 -5 pounds of pineapple and papaya (or choose just one), including the pulp and juice. Divide these 4-5 pounds into 3 portions: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Do not eat anything else this day. If this diet is too strict for you, try this one:
Breakfast: 1 slice of pineapple and 3 oz of low fat cottage cheese.
Lunch: a half of pineapple and 3 oz of boiled chicken or fish or low fat meat.
Dinner: 1 slice of pineapple and 1 piece of rye bread with 1 piece of low fat cheese.
Also, powerful 'fat-killers' are kiwis, apple cider vinegar and artichokes (and the water left from boiling artichokes)
You are over 60 years old.
Your muscular mass in this age range is about 15% of your body. That is why if you want to lose weight, you should do it very slowly because fast diets decrease the amount of protein in your muscular mass.
The main rule is to eat no more than 40 g of fat a day.
Here are some examples:
Breakfast: 1 slice of bread with 1 tea spoon of low fat yogurt.
Lunch: instead of 1.5 oz of ground meat choose 1.5 oz of red beans. You will get an optical illusion of meat, but 7g less fat. If you can't live without meat, eat low fat beef instead of pork chop. You will get 13 g less fat.
Snack: instead of cake, choose a piece of fruit pie (minus 13 g of fat).
Dinner: instead of salami choose a piece of ham (minus 10 g of fat). With a piece of 30% fat cheese you get 10 g less fat compare to 60% fat cheese.
Drink no less than 2 L of water. It will support your digestion and metabolism.

Skincare Review Check - 3 Tips on How to Find the Best Skincare Brand

Skincare Review Check - 3 Tips on How to Find the Best Skincare Brand

By Lumi H. Jais

If you have been reading skincare reviews you know there are two kinds: reviews that the companies make themselves, and ones that the people actually using the products write.

You have to keep in mind, that a skincare review written by the company itself is just marketing. That's why they all claim to be the best skincare brand that has ever existed - no wonder you don't know what to believe after reading these kinds of reviews. What you need is founded knowledge about how you can recognize the best skincare brand and evaluate how good their products really are, without having to rely solely on the marketing material most skincare reviews will give you.

1. Read the independent reviews written by users

The skincare reviews that people using the particular product use are not marketing but a really valuable resource you can use. Look for customer reviews on the skincare company's website and read what they have to say. Independent review sites can be helpful too.

You will perhaps be surprised to notice that the best skincare brand is usually not made by the popular, big companies. The companies with superior skincare products put most of their budget on research for the best ingredients and on developing their products, and not into advertising all over the globe on TV and billboards. That's why you can benefit from the experiences of other customers, who might have already found the not well known champion brand of skincare.

2. Look For Effective Ingredients

When searching for skincare products, check that they contain scientifically proven effective ingredients. The best skincare brands will have an effective mix of active ingredients in their products. You must also make sure that the cream contains a high amount of these active ingredients.

A great skin cream should have anti-aging properties, moisturize effectively and promote natural skin health. Look for 100% natural skincare product lines, as these are in my experience the safest and most effective ones.

3. No risk guarantee

If you want to be absolutely sure not to get disappointed, look for a company with a no risk, 100% satisfaction guarantee where you can return both opened and unopened products in case you're not happy with them.

This shows the company is absolutely sure that they have made the best skincare products. Not many companies will have this policy, but if you do find one you can be sure that you cannot lose with this company.

So don't believe any old skincare review you happen to read - you should do some researching on your own to find the best skincare brand for you. Concentrate on the ingredients and look for a satisfaction guarantee and you will be just fine!

Please stop by my website to read more about what to look for in skincare and learn some surprising facts about the skincare industry! The link is just below!

SECRET BONUS TIP!

If you want to find out where to get the best skincare products which can help you look great and get rid of signs of aging: you need to do your research! Find proven natural skincare products that do what they promise and you will discover that maintaining a beautiful skin is easy and fun!

What Are The Causes Of Back Pain and Natural Cures To Relieve It

What Are The Causes Of Back Pain and Natural Cures To Relieve It

By Dr Martin Orimenko

There are many causes of back pain and discomfort and various natural, allopathic and alternative methods to cure or relieve them.

Most people with back pain are often out of shape or unathletic so poorly developed muscles can lead to a weakening of the spinal vertebrae. Strengthening and stretching the muscles of the upper, mid and low back can help to relieve pain and discomfort.

Most people with back pain will also find they have a herniated disc. A random cross-sampling of the general population will show that about 60% of people at any given time have some kind of mild disc herniation and any asymptomatic so a herniated disc does not always cause pain.

Often the outermost layer that covers the muscles called the fascia can be tight like a pair of frozen pantyhose. Gentle stretching and gentle yoga can relieve this tightness that causes pain and constriction. Avoid a power yoga or hot yoga class if you are a beginner.

Many athletes do not stretch properly before a workout and often pull muscles such as the hamstrings. Having a dynamic stretching or calisthenics routine before a vigrous workout or sports activity is critical to preventing pain or injury.

Lack of sleep or improper rest can also cause constriction when muscles are not allowed to heal and regenerate during the deep REM stage of sleep. Making sure you have deep, uninterrupted sleep can help to prevent or relieve back pain.

Lifting improperly can also be a major cause of back pain. When you lift a heavy object, always make sure to bend your knees so that your hamstrings and quads are doing the bulk of the lifting and not your low back. Sometimes wearing a special harness around your waist can assist in this as well.

Heat can often aleve the tightness so soaking in a hot bathtub, jacuzzi or steam room can be an ultra relaxing way to relieve an aching back.

Massage is an obvious way to relieve pain. If you can't afford to get a professional massage at a spa, you can do self massage such as laying on top of tennis balls, using a massage chair or a back massager.

Weak ligaments can also destabalize the bod's structure, resulting in pain and imbalance. Prolotherapy is ligament reconstruction using a sugar solution that is injected into the joints. Prolotherapy stimulates an inflammation reaction which triggers an healing response to build more ligaments. It can take up to 6 weeks to feel the results and many sessions are often needed.

Foods That Help Fight Depression - The Three Best Foods For When You Are Feeling Depressed

Foods That Help Fight Depression - The Three Best Foods For When You Are Feeling Depressed

By Rebecca Theresa Shelly

First eliminate foods and long-term stress that can reduce your serotonin levels which lead to depression. Stimulants like caffeine, sugar and refined carbohydrates (sweets, white bread and rice) should be avoided if not eliminated.

Can foods help you fight depression? Yes they can and here's why. Certain foods help to produce serotonin, which is what prescription drugs do in essence, but prescription medications aren't utilized by the human body the same as natural food sources and that is one reason there are so many side effects associated with them.

The three top foods that help fight depression are;

1. Fish, especially salmon, contains high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids. Studies show that people who are prone to depression have lower levels of this important nutrient which also helps increase serotonin. Taking supplements can also lower cholesterol and help your cardiovascular health. Other foods that contain high amounts of the fatty acid EPA are walnuts, flax and chia seeds.

2. Brown Rice contains high amounts of the B complex vitamins, especially B-1, B-3 and folic acid. Research has shown that if people have low levels of the B vitamins and higher levels of homocysteine they become depressed more often. Folic acid, vitamin B2, B6, and B12 have all been shown to decrease levels of homocysteine. Brown rice is a low glycemic food so it prevents mood swings associated with sugar spikes.

3. Meat contains high amounts of the amino acid tryptophan needed by the brain to make serotonin. The meat doesn't have to be red meat you can also get tryptophan from fish, legumes, turkey, soy, almonds and eggs.

Don't limit yourself to just the top three best foods for depression, you can also improve your health and ease your depression with the following:

1. Low levels of vitamin D3 have been shown to be associated with mental disorders and depression. A simple test can reveal whether you need supplementation. It turns out a large percentage of us are deficient, especially if we don't get enough sunshine. Foods high in Vitamin D3 are salmon, mackerel, sardines, egg yolks, beef liver, milk that has been fortified and cod liver oil. Most doctors recommend 2000 to 5000iu daily.

2. B vitamins are also found in chicken, corn, eggs, green leafy and cruciferous vegetables, legumes, meat, nuts, peas, sunflower seeds, and nutritional yeast (great sprinkled on popcorn). If you take supplements make sure it is a B-complex which contains all the B vitamins.

3. Whole grains like quinoa, kamut and oats help fight against blood sugar lows unlike white flour and help lower cholesterol.

4. Exercise or physical activity can prevent and treat depression. Did you know that exercise has been shown to be as successful as taking Prozac for depression?

Try food sources first for depression rather than strong prescription drugs. If you feel you may need more assistance there are some herbal remedies available that have proven to help with depression. Ashwagandha an Indian herbal remedy helps with anxiety and mood. Rhodiola or arctic root is another herb that aids focus, mood and concentration.

Depression can become severe with thoughts of suicide, in which case, it is best to find a health practitioner who can give you all your available options, including natural treatments like herbal remedies, stress management, medications if needed and therapy.

Sports Participation Leads to Increased Body Esteem in Females

Sports Participation Leads to Increased Body Esteem in Females

By Liz D Davenport

Imagine a 9-year-old girl clad in shin guards and cleats. Her hair's pulled back in a ponytail and she's chasing a soccer ball up and down the field. She's sweating. She's breathing heavily. She's probably even throwing an elbow or two.

However, she's probably not worrying how fat she looks in her shorts.

Despite weight issues pervading the minds of girls as young as six, studies have shown that participation in sports is a mitigating influence on negative body image.

According to a study conducted by the Women's Sports Foundation, female athletes are more likely to have a positive body image, and less likely to consider themselves overweight, than their unathletic peers.

Our Culture of Weight Obsession

In the U.S., weight bias has become as common as prejudices based on sex and race. And it starts young. By the age of five, many children have grasped our society's weight intolerance and incorporated into their own viewpoints.

In a startling example of our daughters' body dysmorphia, a 2006 study by Levina Clark and Marika Tiggemann showed about half of girls between 9-12 rated their own bodies as too heavy, despite the fact only 15 percent of them were actually overweight.

Unfortunately, weight obsession is just the beginning. It can lead to eating disorders, depression, poor self-esteem, and even substance abuse.

Sports Participation Leads to Body Acceptance

Big boobs. Thin waist. Nice legs. Our society evaluates the female body on how sexually attractive men find it.

Sports, however, provide females with another judge and jury. Suddenly, men's sexual gratification isn't the only thing that matters. The female body has become a machine--a tool for optimal sports performance, and a girl who once viewed herself as tall and gawky can achieve body acceptance on the basketball court.

Athletics is the antidote to poor body image.

Girls who participate in three or more sports per year are more likely to have high scores on body-esteem measurements at all grade levels, according to Go Out and Play: Youth Sports in America.

Sports give females more than just an opportunity to view themselves differently. It provides them with a chance to make physical fitness a part of the rest of their lives. Exercise increases metabolism, improves physical conditioning, and as a result, enhances one's overall appearance.

Athletics has become a key link in the chain. Whether it's from developing an enlightened viewpoint or a healthier lifestyle, sports participation can help young girls battle our society's weight obsession.

Foods You Should Eat Every Day for Healthy Weight Loss

Foods You Should Eat Every Day for Healthy Weight Loss

By James Meador

Food is energy, and let's face it...some foods are better than others. Just like a car runs on gas, a body runs on food. When we put bad fuel in a car, it runs poorly, and when we put bad food in our body, it runs poorly. But there are some 'high octane' foods that boost our energy, stimulate our metabolism, and satisfy our cravings to prevent us from filling up with bad foods so that our body runs efficiently and smoothly. Here are six foods that we should eat every day for high energy and healthy weight loss.

Eggs were once thought to be bad for cholesterol, but recent studies have proven that they have no effect on bad cholesterol, and the benefits they provide are numerous. They are loaded with protein, contain only 75 calories, and are packed with essential vitamins and nutrients such as B12, E, and A. A couple of eggs first thing in the morning will keep you fueled up until lunch.

Bell peppers are loaded with Vitamin C. The colored ones (red, yellow and orange) have more than the greens, and the colored peppers also contain loads of antioxidants. They are most beneficial when consumed raw, and the crunch they provide can help us avoid some poor food choices. Eat them on salads, sandwiches, or dip them in salsa or some other low calorie dip for a healthy snack.

Broccoli and cauliflower are miracle foods. Both boost metabolism, both contain loads of vitamins, protein, and fiber, and both help metabolize estrogen, which can help prevent breast cancer and other illnesses. Broccoli and Cauliflower can also reduce the effects of aging. Overcooking reduces the benefits drastically, so aim for raw consumption, on a salad for example, or as close to raw as you can get, such as lightly steaming or stir-frying.

Avocados and olives are loaded with fat, but the fat they contain is healthy, monounsaturated fat. Eating avocados and olives can improve your cholesterol and actually make you feel satisfied longer so you eat less at your next meal. Add a couple of slices of avocado or 6-8 olives to your sandwich or salad and you will avoid the hunger pangs that can lead to overeating.

Almonds and peanuts are great for losing weight. They are loaded with calories and fat, but again, the good fat, and in addition to seriously boosting your energy, they can help you eat less at mealtime. Grab a small handful of either with a glass of water about 30 minutes before you eat lunch or dinner, and you'll eat anywhere from 30-50% less.

Tuna and sardines are a great source of protein, and both contain omega-3 fatty acids, which can improve heart health and even boost memory. Each makes a great post-workout snack, as they are both canned in appropriate single servings, readily available and inexpensive. Go for tuna packed in water, not oil, and look for sardines packed in tomato or mustard sauce, not oil. And please resist the temptation to add mayonnaise to your tuna. Add some finely shredded and rinsed lettuce instead to give it the crunch and moisture you crave.

Understanding And Caring For Your Digestive System Through Colon Hydrotherapy

Understanding And Caring For Your Digestive System Through Colon Hydrotherapy

By Ruben Davis Wagner

The human body is made up of numerous parts, all working in coordination to keep the body healthy and running. While most people know about the different components through lessons learned in biology, health, and anatomy classes, not many have in depth knowledge about some of their essential body parts. The digestive system, for example, is vital to human life and plays a major role in overall health and wellbeing. The following is a quick discussion about the main parts of this system and how and why you should take care of it.

Learning about the Different Components

The digestive function comprises of the digestive tract; an internal body structure consisting of a series of hollow organs joined in a relatively long, twisting tube starting from the mouth to the anus. Some of the biggest organs of this complex system includes the mouth, oesophagus, stomach, and the small and large intestines. Along with the two most important digestive organs, the liver and the pancreas, these components break down food into smaller molecules of nutrients for proper body absorption.

The Importance of the Digestive System

This complex part of the human body breaks down food into liquids and molecules, making it easier to transport through the body and for bloodstream absorption. This function alone makes it one of the biggest contributors to how you look and feel each day. Along with the different bodily organs and systems, it is integral to your overall health and wellbeing. Without it, your body cannot absorb the nutrients found in food and nourish the different parts that provide energy.

Caring for the Digestive System

It is imperative to take care of your digestive system considering it plays such a major role in how you function daily. Here are some of the simplest and easiest practices to keep your digestive method at its prime all the time.

Good Food Selection Habits - Caring for your digestive system starts with the food you eat. Bad food choices are some the biggest causes of diseases. Develop good food selection habit to avoid problems and ailments normally associated with the digestive system. Some of your best choices include food heavy in fibre such as oats, fruits, and leafy vegetables. Eating less spicy and fatty foods, as well as fewer sweets is also something you should learn to do.

Good Eating Habits - Relevant to good food selection is how you eat it. Always chew your food well for easier digestion. Stimulate your appetite, but never eat too much at a time because this may cause indigestion. Healthy food choices and good eating habits will always lead to a healthier and better-functioning digestive system.

Lesser Known but Effective Ways - Simple things like maintaining good oral health contributes to a healthier digestive system, considering that the mouth is where it all begins. Caring for major components like the colon through procedures like colon hydrotherapy is also another great way to ensure the health and proper functioning of your digestive system.

Keep your digestive system in check and healthy at all times. Other than simple and traditional methods, you can check out sites such as www.australiancolonhealth.com to learn why and how you should care for the colon and other parts of your digestive system.

10 Healthiest Foods on Earth

10 Healthiest Foods on Earth

By Danny Mitchell Ashton

Over the years, changes in the general composition of food have changed, even the natural ones. Some foods can be good for your health and some are not. To live a healthy life, you must know what foods are good for you. Here is a list of some of the best and healthiest foods on earth:

1. Cow's Milk

Milk is one of the major sources of calcium that helps build strong bones and teeth. It regulates muscle contraction and makes your blood flow normally. It is also a source for vitamin D and vitamin K which make your bones healthy. Milk from grass-fed cows contains a lot of fatty acids called conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) which prevents cancer. This should, however, not be a substitute for breast milk among newborns.

2. Egg

A chicken's egg contains carotenoids in the form of lutein and zeaxathin which are good for the eyes. Egg yolks contain long-chain omega-3 fatty acids called docosahexaenoic acids (DHA), which are good for the brain and eyes, and arachidonic acid, which makes your skin healthy. Egg yolks are good for your heart and when eaten raw, it increases stamina and resistance to health.

3. Coconut Juice

Juice from coconut is rich in minerals such as potassium, phosphorus, manganese and magnesium. Its high potassium content, which is two times higher than that of a banana, prevents high blood pressure.

4. Tomato

Many consider tomato as a vegetable but it is actually a fruit. Tomato consists of lycopene which is a powerful anti-oxidant. Lycopene has been considered a potential agent for preventing different types of cancers, particularly prostate cancer. No other fruits have higher concentration of lycopene except tomato.

5. Winter squash

The yellow-orange flesh of a winter squash consists of plenty of nutrients such as vitamins A, B12, B3, B6 and C, and important minerals such as manganese, potassium, fiber and folic acid. It is also an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. It prevents high cholesterol in the blood to keep our heart in a healthy condition.

6. Bitter Gourd

A tropically grown vegetable is one of the healthiest foods on earth, and the bitter gourd is one of the best. It has many therapeutic uses and can be used as a dietary supplement. Its protein extract helps people who suffer from diabetes. It has a significant effect of lowering blood sugar. It controls cholesterol levels and strengthens the immune system. Above all, it works as an anti-inflammatory agent and purifies the blood.

7. Ginger

Ginger is a healing herb which has been used for many centuries. It has many medicinal benefits. It absorbs toxins and acid in the stomach and neutralizes them. Ginger ale relieves coughs and sore throat and alleviates indigestion.

8. Beans

Beans are a good source of protein and fiber t. Some raw beans are toxic and should be boiled for several minutes to eliminate toxins. Beans can be cooked in any way, but they still taste amazing nonetheless.

9. Royal Jelly

This natural secretion help keeps your skin healthy and look younger. It also helps in cholesterol level imbalances and general diseases. It boosts energy and improves fertility, too.

10. Fish

Fish meat contains a high source of omega 3 fatty acids which keeps our heart healthy. It also improves brain function.

Winter Foods in Pakistan Are Exotic

Winter Foods in Pakistan Are Exotic

By Lynne Evans

Winter time in Pakistan means different food items in the shops and for me this is very exciting. I have recently come across a vegetable called "chung" which, in its raw state, looks like a small cactus without the spines. It grows to about 6 inches and is a dark green colour with nodes along its skin where, if it were a cactus, spines would be. I have tried to discover its botanical name but without much success. It is a bitter plant, and tastes a little like karalla or the bitter melon, and is best cooked with meat, minced beef seems to be the best. It has to be rubbed in salt before it is cooked to take away some of the bitterness, although a neighbour took a piece or two and ate them raw, as he did when he found them on the mountains when he was a boy. They are used traditionally to purify the blood and as a general tonic.

The other new vegetable for me is the "mongray" which is the whole seed pod of the mooli or Daikon radish. They taste like Kachnar buds and are good when cooked with beef too.

Fenugreek leaves are in season now so we cook them with spinach and with meat, as they are full of iron and have antioxidant properties. It's marvelous when something that tastes so good is healthy too.

In the fruit line there are dried "amlook" or date-plums, which are supposed to be the lotus fruit which made Odysseus and his men forget their dreams of returning home to Ithaca in Greece after the Trojan Wars. They are very sweet and in the raw form look like small black persimmons.

Autumn meant that there were ber fruit or the Indian jujube, which has a unique taste and to me they smell a little like hops, and I can't quite manage to eat one. There were also persimmons which were much more palatable. Unfortunately this sweet variety cannot be exported because it is so thin-skinned, but it is much sweeter than the varieties I have sampled in Europe.

Shareefa is another delightful fruit, the custard apple, or at least a variety of custard apple. These got their name because they were so adored by the Mogul emperors and only they were allowed to eat them. These days, few ordinary Pakistanis eat them as they are still comparatively expensive and so are not normally bought for families.

The red carrots have also come into their own so we can eat carrot halva and a spicy, sweet carrot conserve which is wonderful with natural yoghurt.

The itinerant sellers in the bazaar have brought sandalwood prayer beads and frankincense to burn, so these have been interesting too. Clearly the frankincense is of a low grade, as it looks like an ordinary stone, but it crumbles and makes the house smell wonderful when it is burned.

I have been in Pakistan for over two years now, but there is always something new to experience and clearly the food we get in the West which is sold as Indian or Pakistani is not the same as that which is actually eaten on the subcontinent as the fresh fruit and vegetables cannot be easily transported. We miss out on jamun (which are a little like damsons) and those delicious persimmons.

Health And Medical Insurance - How To Get The Cover You Need At A Reasonable Cost

Health And Medical Insurance - How To Get The Cover You Need At A Reasonable Cost

By Don Cruickshank

If you do not get private medical insurance as part of your employment conditions you should think seriously about whether or not you need to pay for cover yourself. Many countries now have social health care provisions, but these may be subject to long waiting times or incomplete cover for an ailment or accident that may befall you.

Health insurance is a type of medical insurance that will cover: a stay in hospital, visits to your doctor, outpatient procedures and medical supplies such as prescription medicines, although most medical insurance cover will require additional payments for such items.

How do you find the best rates for the type of health cover you need?

The quickest and easiest way to book private medical insurance is to search the Internet for a suitable company. There are many insurance websites that will allow you to complete a simple form and get an almost immediate health insurance quote. When you do your search you should have at hand some basic information. This will include, the number and ages of people to be covered, any pre-existing medical conditions, whether you smoke or use tobacco and whether or not you have been refused medical insurance elsewhere.

In our opinion it is best to be scrupulously honest in your answers as any misrepresentation may come back to haunt you in the event that you make a claim and a discrepancy is discovered at that time.

Once you have your quote, you should make sure that all of the private medical insurance cover you need is included, and take time to read the small print. The best health insurance policy [http://www.privatemedicalinsurance4uk.co.uk/health-insurance-quotes.htm] may not be the one with the cheapest rate. In the UK you can try our site at http://www.privatemedicalinsurance4uk.co.uk which carries the major suppliers of UK based medical insurance.

Don Cruickshank is the webmaster and author for several internet insurance resources including [http://www.privatemedicalinsurance4uk.co.uk] in the UK.
