Summer Camp - Only A Few Weeks But Memories For a Life Time

Summer Camp - Only A Few Weeks But Memories For a Life Time

By Seth Milligan

Summer is the season to make friends, play by the pool, catch fireflies and make lifelong memories. By attending summer camp, children of all ages can make the most out of their summer vacation by doing fun activities that they will enjoy. There are a variety of unique summer camps out there, each one offering a little something different than the next. For many children, summer camp is a hallmark of their childhood. For a few weeks, kids can become independent, leave the comfort of their own home and make memories that will truly last a lifetime.

Day Camp

Each one may appeal to a different set of children. This could be due to the theme of the camp, age range and location. Day camp is one of the most popular summer camp options. Unlike overnight camp, day camp is only held during the day and children return home at night. This type of camp is a good experience for children who have never been away from home at extended periods of time before. It is typically also more affordable than overnight camp.

Overnight Camp

The children will have their own cabin or area to live in during their time at camp. Activities are typically held all day long and may include camp fires at night, singalongs, water sports and so much more. These few weeks of summer camp each year will give your child the opportunity to make memories that they will never forget, whether it's the time that they first tried water skiing or when they went horseback riding.

Special Needs Camps

These children can come together for a few weeks in the summer months and enjoy learning new things, meeting new people and creating an amazing journey with others that share their obstacles. Whether these needs are emotional, physical or metal, special needs camps cater to a wide variety of special needs. Trained camp counselors will also help to make your child's camp experience a great one.

Sports Camps

Some sports may be open to all children that simply love playing sports while others may be more specialized. Whether your child wants to be a professional basketball player or an ice hockey player, there are camps out there that specialize in all types of sports. Some sports camps offer many different sports to play on a daily basis. Archery is a common sport that is found at most camps. These camps may be available for day time programs and overnight camping experiences. No matter what you and your child choose, many memories will be made during those few weeks.

Summer camp is an experience that every child should experience. Camp White Pine 40 Lawrence Avenue West, Toronto, ON M5M 1A4, Canada +1 416-322-6250 offers a truly Canadian summer camp experience. To learn more be sure to visit their website and click here
