Video Marketing Tips: How to Supercharge Your Videos

Video Marketing Tips: How to Supercharge Your Videos

By Amy Porterfield

Video marketing is a great way to drive traffic to your business. In fact, according to Forrester Research, videos are 50 times more likely to obtain first page results in Google searches than plain text documents. Since videos are catching on, there are more and more videos out there. Here are some tips that will provide a boost to your videos and make them stand out in the crowd.

#1: Create a video campaign. While standalone videos are effective, to increase your odds of being noticed, consider creating a series of related videos. Be sure to make the videos content rich, and publish them regularly. Regular production of related videos creates a good amount of synergy and also gives you multiple opportunities to increase your brand identity.

#2: Include a call to action in your videos. Take advantage of every opportunity you have to ask your viewers to take some type of action at the end of each video. Some ideas for calls to action include asking people to leave a comment, sign up for your newsletter, go to a specific website, or visit your blog. If you do a good job with your video and provide value to the viewers, you'll have their full attention and they will be likely to respond to the call to action.

#3 Do not make a sales pitch in your videos. People are bombarded with sales pitches, and while it important to sell your products and services, you don't want to add to the sales clutter in your videos. Instead, use your videos to define problems and provide answers to those problems and provide support to people. When you do this, you'll attract the right people, who will then be more likely to become clients in the future.

Keyword Strategies for Videos

There's a lot of information out there on keyword strategies, for good reason: keywords are important. Here are a few things regarding keywords you'll want to keep in mind as you produce your videos:

To make your videos on YouTube easier to find, use keywords in the title of your videos and in the tags and description as well. Use the text pages on your website as a means of providing a "map" to Google. To help search engines figure out what your videos are about, embed them on pages on your site that have text that is related to your videos. Target keyword phrases, not individual keywords. For instance, rather than use the keyword "cupcakes" on the website for your organic bakery, use the keyword phrase, "cupcakes with organic ingredients." Keyword phrases increase the odds of you showing up on the front pages of search results.

BONUS TIP:

When it comes to Facebook, you need a tailored strategy that works for your business. As time goes by, Facebook proves to be more important. You're starting to see a widening gap of those who get it and those who don't.

If you are looking to increase your leads, drive more traffic to your website and turn fans and followers into customers, FBinfluence is your step-by-step solution for making Facebook Marketing work for your business.
